Welcome to Yggdrasil Farm Nestled in the beautiful landscape of Northern Norway, Yggdrasil Farm is a small, family-run farm that has been passed down through generations since the 18th century. Today, we proudly continue the traditions of our ancestors, combining history, sustainability, and heartfelt hospitality. A Taste of Norway At Yggdrasiltunet, our kitchen is the heart of the farm. We prepare authentic homemade food using high-quality Norwegian ingredients — many of them produced right here on the farm. Our meat and fish come from our own production, and everything is made from scratch with care and respect for tradition. We are proud to serve classic Norwegian dishes, while also offering delicious vegetarian and raw food options. In our restaurant, you can enjoy: Homemade bread Fresh juice Traditional Norwegian waffles with brown cheese Coffee and other refreshments Farm Life – As It Used to Be We practice traditional agriculture and animal husbandry, just as it was done in the old days. Our animals move freely in and out of the barn and live a natural, healthy life. The farm is organic, and so are the products we produce. We are especially proud of our Old Norwegian Spelsau sheep — Norway’s original sheep breed, dating back to the Viking Age. Known for their gentle temperament and excellent quality, they are an important part of our living heritage. Our animals are friendly and enjoy human contact. Visitors are welcome to enter the enclosure and experience farm life up close. Your Visit Your visit includes access to the farm and the animals, offering an authentic and memorable experience for both children and adults. This activity is open to visitors who are not staying at the hotel. Hotel guests can enjoy unlimited visits to the animals throughout their stay.
